Slide1The great Albert Einstein once said that the 9th wonder of the world was compound growth. Some would disagree, however there is no denying the power of compounding once you understand it and apply it.

Any form of strategic planning requires a clarity of vision to begin with. Once you know where it is you’d like to get to, it’s much easier to plot a path to get there.

You also need to understand the rules. For example, the rule of 72 is a formula to help you determine how long an investment will take to double using the interest rate of return. To illustrate, let’s say you have a $100 deposit and a 9% interest rate of return. By dividing the interest rate of 9 into 72 you get a number of 8. It’ll take 8 years at 9% to turn your $100 into $200!

Finally you need commitment. The point here is to start now! It’s never too early and it’s never too late to improve your financial position. The key is not delaying it any further.
